God created us in His image, as social beings meant to love one another, build relationships, care for each other, be ambassadors for Him and reconcile the world to Him.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.1 John 1:3
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.Hebrews 10:24-25
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:Proverbs 27:17
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. This is how we grow and strengthen ourselves as Christians, we sharpen ourselves through fellowship with God and each other.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.Luke 12:12
For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.1 John 2:27
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.Spending time in the Word of God, in constant prayer, supplication, and praise provides intimate fellowship with God, allowing his Spirit to speak to us, move us, and teach us God's Will.
I have recently found that carrying a praise tune in my heart and mind helps me to be more intimately attuned to Godly things. I love the hymns - How Great thou Art, He Lives, Blessed Assurance, and just having the chorus playing in my heart helps to remind me Who's I am, and How Great my God is.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:Ephesians 6:18
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;1 Chronicles 16:11
Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.Acts 2:42
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice evermore.Romans 12:12
Pray without ceasing.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;Ephesians 5:19-20
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;Hebrews 13:15-16
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.God is well pleased.
But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
I want God to be well pleased with me. I want to live a life that is pleasing to God, for that I must have fellowship with God and my Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.Jesus is calling me his friend!!!
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
That is a close bond, a bond of love to the point of laying down your life.
I want this fellowship, this friendship with God and my Brothers and Sisters in Christ!
